Summary

Are you new to the role of head of science or are you ready to take on the challenge and looking to aquire the necessary skills to gain promotion? This one-day course is designed to provide the strategies and techniques you will need to be successful specifically in a science department and would complement the general leadership qualities covered in the NPQML qualification.

This course focuses on four ongoing themes within a science context: leading your science team leading your curriculum, leading practical work and addressing the needs of all students. We will use the STEM learning Science leadership benchmarks and workbook to guide you through the first steps in running your science department.
